Having begun his violin studies at the age of 8, Mr. Pronin made his debut in Israel at the age of 10, and by the age of 14 had performed as a concert soloist and chamber musician in Israel, the United States, and Europe. While appearing at an International Music Festival at Galicia, Spain his playing came to the attention of the world-renowned Professor of Violin Nelli Shkolnikova who subsequently invited Mr. Pronin to study with her at Indiana University (IU). Despite his very young age, his performance immediately earned him top 1% ranking at IU, as well as full scholarship support. After Professor Shkolnikova’s retirement, Mr. Pronin continued his studies with Professor Jaime Laredo. In 2009, he was awarded the prestigious Performance Certificate – the highest performance award given by Indiana University. Mr. Pronin also received artistic tutelage from Boris Kuschnir, Miriam Fried, Pamela Frank, Pavel Vernikov, Joel Smirnoff and Pinchas Zukerman.

Mr. Pronin has performed in many prestigious concert venues, including Carnegie Hall and the Miller Theatre in New York City; Dekelboum Hall in Washington, D.C.; the National Arts Centre in Ottawa, Canada; the Perlman Theatre in Philadelphia and many others. He has frequently performed on television and radio in the United States, Canada, Europe and Israel, including live broadcasts of the Interlochen Public Radio Station and the WFMT Chicago Classical Radio station.

He has performed under the baton of such eminent conductors as John Adams, Herbert Blomstedt, Ronald Zollman, Sigiswald Kuijken and Leonard Slatkin. Mr. Pronin is also an avid chamber musician, and has engaged in chamber music with internationally-renowned musicians such as Jaime Laredo, James Campbell, Mark Kaplan, Bion Tsang, Orion String Quartet, Victor Danchenko, Julian Milkis, Anton Nel, Emille Naoumoff and Lera Auerbach. Mr. Pronin frequently appears as guest artist at prestigious international music festivals.

Most recently, he has performed as a soloist and chamber musician at the Verbier Festival in Switzerland, the Kronberg Festival in Germany and gave solo recitals at the Stankovic Music Hall as well as several special guest appearances on national television in Belgrade, Serbia. In recent past, Mr. Pronin has also performed at the Banff International Music Festival in Canada (including the Canadian Premiere of Lera Auerbach’s Sonata No. 3 with the composer at the piano, as well as being featured as a soloist for Haydn's Sinfonia Concertante under the baton of Sigiswald Kuijken), and the Summit Music Festival in New York with featured artists Steven Isserlis, Andres and Roberto Diaz, Frank Morelli, Colin Carr, Tara Helen O'Connor and Ida Haendel.

Mr. Pronin is the recipient of multiple awards from the American String Teachers Association, America-Israel Cultural Foundation, Canada Council for the Arts and Classical Artists Development Foundation.

Mr. Pronin maintains a large repertoire ranging in scope and variety from early Baroque to the 21st century. He performs on a Nicola Bergonzi violin from 1785, and the ex-Ysaye, ex-Flesch Voirin bow, generously on loan from a private donor.
